Letting Go of Detrimental Thinking

The human mind is capable of astounding accomplishments, when at peace and uncluttered. Unfortunately, a very small percentage of us reach that potential, primarily because the mind is engaged in trivial, demoralizing, ego-centric thinking. Concentration and well being can’t be attained when the mind is preoccupied with living either in the future, or in the past. Fear, guilt, worry, and revenge are born from a distorted perception of reality and result in needless suffering. This class provides tools and insight into how to control and focus your thoughts to identify when you are engaged in non-productive thoughts and how to achieve a calm, self-confident state. Read lessons, participate in exercises, hold discussions with fellow students, plus receive personal coaching from the instructor. Runs for 6 weeks and is self-paced. Complete the lessons on your timetable.

“Letting Go of Detrimental Thinking” is the newest offering in our class lineup of life-long learning experiences designed to help people learn and practice life-changing concepts. This course will prove attractive to people seeking insights about living happier and more productive lives. This course offering has universal appeal for people caught up in stressful roles and are experiencing mental strains and suffering.

Typically Americans never examine the thoughts they experience during an ordinary day. Yet most thoughts are unproductive, redundant and very often simply untrue. We wander through each day with our mind in overdrive, ruminating about what happened yesterday or trying to predict the future with empty promises like “I’ll be happy when!” This mind-and-heart-opening class teaches participants how to:

  • Identify which thoughts are totally unnecessary and harmful;
  • Let go of unwanted thoughts such as fear, anger, and worry;
  • Create calmness and self confident thoughts.

First class gets underway on Tuesday, September 30th.
